For this simple project I’m using:
- 2 Square Decorative Edged Wood Trays (Dollar Tree – $1.25 Each)
- 1 Dollar Tree Metal Candle Holder approx. 6.5″ tall
- 1 Dollar Tree Metal Candle Holder approx. 8.5″ tall
- E-6000 or other Permanent Glue
- Waverly Antiquing Wax
First of all I’ll use a wet wipe to apply the Waverly Antiquing Wax to each of the wood trays. I’ll cover the bottom, all sides, and the the inside of each tray.
Finally, I’ll use the E-6000 to attach each candlestick to the bottom of each tray. The taller candlestick does not have as much “lip” as the shorter one so I’ll add a bead of glue around the outside edge.
Once the glue is completely dry flip the tray over and fill with your favorite pieces! What do you think about this Easy Dollar Tree Decorative Stand DIY? It’s so simple and easy, but sure to be something I’ll use in my home for a long time!
