Hey friend!! If you’re like me you’re always needing a decor filler, either in a tiered tray, dough bowl, or jar. It seems like I’m always searching for something! These easy DIY rag balls can be created for ANY season or holiday by combining material strips with inexpensive Dollar Tree styrofoam balls. Come see!!

Supplies….
- Dollar Tree Styrofoam Balls – 1.9 inches (Any size could be used.)
- Strips of material (I’m using Fat Quarters from Walmart.)
- Elmer’s Glue
- Paint Brush
- Wax Paper
I need a last minute filler for the Fourth so I’ll be using some red and blue material this time around. The process is super simple. I’ll tear the material into strips and cut the pieces down to about 4.5 inches long.

Next I’ll add some Elmer’s Glue to the surface of a styrofoam ball and start pressing on the strips of material. I’ll add the glue and then spread it out with a paint brush before adding the strip of material.

Now I’ll just continue adding strips and using the glue to brush down the edges. How much glue you use is totally up to you, less glue means the material may be more “shaggy” looking.

Once the material is applied I’ll set the rag balls aside on a piece of wax paper to dry, turning them every so often so all sides dry completely. Once dry these easy DIY rag balls are ready to display and add that finishing touch to your decor!
