January is here and the gloomy weather has me inside and in a crafting mood, so I’m wanting to give some fake bake Valentine’s Day cookies a try using one of my new favorites, the BOHS foam clay!! The possibilities are just about limitless with this clay and I have yet to be disappointed!

List of supplies:
- BOHS Foam Clay (I’m using brown.)
- Favorite Cookie Cutters
- Wax Paper/Parchment Paper
- Rolling Pin
- Paint
- Gloss Mod Podge

I’m using a rolling pin to roll out a good portion of clay just like I would if I were making sugar cookies. I’m aiming for a thickness of about 1/4″. These shapes are for Valentine’s Day so I’m using heart cookie cutters along with some of my other favorites.

The clay is not always easy to pop out of the cutters, but the little yellow daubers work wonderfully for this project and the shapes pop out easily with no indentions.

When all the shapes are cut, lay them out to dry for a few hours or overnight.

Let’s paint…
I’m choosing acrylic paints for this project and mixing in some gloss Mod Podge to add some shine.

I’m using my plastic spoon to spread the paint onto the faux cookies and then leaving them overnight to dry completely. I left some plain, but added glitter to others. The result was so cute and these fake bake Valentine’s Day cookies like actual cookies!! If you enjoy the fake bake projects you have to see this one too!!
