Styling A Neutral And Festive Christmas Tiered Tray – Word & Home

I just love a pretty tiered tray, so I use them in my home year round!! Christmas is coming, so today I’m showing you how I’m styling a neutral and festive Christmas tiered tray!! The space already has a neutral feel, so I’m keeping the tiered tray as neutral as possible. Don’t be fooled, neutral can be beautiful too!!

When I’m styling my tiered trays I try to “shop” my home and use as much as I already have on hand as possible. I’m starting with the top tier and using some vintage books I already have. Books are a favorite of mine to use all over my home, stacks on the mantle with a candlestick, stacks in a corner tied with pretty ribbon, or simply on the counter under a lamp. They add an elegant and pretty component wherever you use them!! For the tiered tray (here’s how I made this one!!) I’m using string to tie books together and then placing the stack on its’ side.

Now I’m adding two bottlebrush trees, but I’m using a wood slice under one to slightly elevate it above the other.

On to second tier where I’m using some Hobby Lobby rusty sleigh bells and tieing them together with string. I’ll hot glue some greenery and red berries to the top. I’ll also be using some glass ornaments to this tier, just filling in the extra space. I love to keep small ornaments in my decor to use as filler.

I LOVE the soft greens and cream/white together. When the rust color of the bells and dark colors of the books are added, the contrast creates such a pretty effect!!

Just a touch of color…

Finally, for the last tier I’m adding more trees but just a touch of color too!!

This little Christmas box adds a festive touch to the bottom tier and has a little vintage feel too!! The very last thing I’ll do to do in styling this neutral but festive Christmas tiered tray is add snow to each tier, filling in the empty space.

I love adding FUN pieces to my home just like this one!! Every time I walk by this tiered tray it makes me smile! My favorite thing about this piece is how easy and inexpensive it was to create. I had all of these pieces in my home already, it was just a matter of finding them the right home. Thanks for stopping by friend!! I hope you leave inspired!!
