Clearance finds are always FUN, and finding ways to re-purpose them for your home is even better!! When I saw the cutting boards on clearance at Hobby Lobby I knew I had struck gold!! Today I’m creating a mini fall cutting board using one of the smallest cutting boards I found. Come see how to create your own new piece of decor using something from the clearance aisle!!

What I’m using…
- Small round cutting board (Mine came from Hobby Lobby clearance.)
- Pretty fall napkin
- Mod Podge
- Ivory Chalk Paint
- Ribbon/Raffia
- Hot Glue Gun (This is the one I use.)
- Parchment Paper
- Mini Iron
- Sanding Block

First up I painted the cutting board with Ivory chalk paint, front, back, and both sides. Let it dry completely. While the paint is drying separate the napkin ply, keeping only the top ply with the image.

Next, brush a layer of Mod Podge on the cutting board surface and allow it to dry.

Now lay the napkin ply on top of board, centering it exactly where you’d like it. Cover with parchment paper and then iron.

Once the napkin is ironed on well, use a sanding block to sand off the excess napkin.

I think this image fits perfectly on this cutting board and I LOVE the muted colors!! We’ll add a pretty bow from ribbon and raffia to finish things off!

This one is so easy and doesn’t take much time or effort, BUT I expect it will make a big impact for fall!! Let me know what you think of this mini fall cutting board DIY!! If you enjoy re-purposing cutting boards be sure to see what I did with this one!!
