I’ve kinda fallen in love with the simplicity of this one friends!! It all starts with a Dollar Tree heart!! I picked this pack of hearts up and knew I could do something fun!! This simple Dollar Tree Valentine sign is so easy to create and won’t cost much to boot!!
All you need…..
- One package of DT red hearts
- Small clearance sign
- Scrapbook paper
- DT rub-ons
- Bakers twine or string
- Chalk paint
- Glue
- Mod Podge

I LOVE red so much, but for this project wanted a softer look. I’ll paint the heart with some Ballet Slipper Waverly chalk paint and while that’s drying add the scrapbook paper to the clearance sign.

I’ll brush a layer of Mod Podge on the surface of the sign and then insert the paper, pressing it down.

After the heart is completely dry, I’ll cut a section of the Dollar Tree rub-ons and apply it to the surface of the heart. These rub ons are great you guys because they easily transfer to your surface!! Dollar Tree really has a lot to offer when it comes to inexpensive decor! This is a fun piece I made over from last year!!

One last detail on this simple Dollar Tree Valentine sign is to add a simple bakers twine bow to the top of the heart with a drop of hot glue.

Finally, I’m using some E-6000 to attach the heart to the sign face. The final piece is simple….. but so pretty!!
