If you’ve heard me say it once, you’ve heard me say it a hundred times, always shop that clearance aisle!! I found these clearance signs for $1 at Home Goods and I can re-purpose them for ANY holiday or occasion. Since Christmas is my favorite, I thought I’d start with an easy clearance sign flip, Christmas edition!!

All the details…
Here are the supplies I used for this flip:
- Clearance sign (mine measures 6X6)
- wood word cutout (Hobby Lobby sticker section)
- scrapbook paper
- greenery (Target Dollar Spot)
- Miniature ornaments (Hobby Lobby)
- Small embroidery hoop
- Distress Ink pad
- White paint
First up I’ll simply cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the inside of my sign. I’m using a pretty pink paper by Paper Studio, but you can use any paper of your liking for this little easy clearance flip, Christmas edition!
Next I’ll brush Mod Podge on the surface of the sign and place the scrapbook paper on top. If you have any bubbles you can use a heat gun to smooth out your paper.
Then, I’ll paint a small embroidery hoop white and use craft glue to adhere to the sign surface.
I also painted the word “peace” white and glued it in the center of the hoop.
Now I’ll use the greenery and ornaments to add a little Christmas bling!! I’ll hot glue the greenery on first, then the ornaments. You can add as little or as much greenery as you like.
To finish up I’ll use my distress ink on the edges and corners of the sign. It adds a little bit of an aged look and ties the paper to the frame.
Such a simple little make-over friends, but I LOVE the final look of it!! It’s simple with a touch of vintage Christmas! The sky is really the limit on what you can do with a clearance sign.
