Friends, I have to admit that I have fallen in LOVE with old tin ceiling tile decor pieces!! The problem is, old vintage tin ceiling tiles are kinda hard to find!! I dreamed of creating a ceiling tile Christmas tree, and had all but given up on the idea until Dollar Tree sparked an idea!! How about a Dollar Tree faux tin ceiling tile Christmas tree??? Let’s give it a shot!!

Dollar Tree Supplies…
- Dollar Tree Christmas tree cutout
- Mod Podge
- Dollar Tree self adhesive wall tile
- Cinnamon
- White paint
- Dollar Tree building blocks
- E-6000
- Spray top coat

First, lay the wood tree cutout on the back of the tile, trace around it, and cut it out.

Y’all, I just LOVE the pattern on this faux tile!!! You could leave it as is, but I’ll be giving it a coat of white chalk paint.

Eeeek!! I’m already loving this one you guys!!! Let’s add a little “rust” by using some cinnamon and Mod Podge.

Side note, if you decide you have too much “rust” you can cover up the excess with your white paint. Once you have the effect you like you’ll need to add a base.

Use two Dollar Tree building blocks for the base of the Dollar Tree faux tin ceiling tile Christmas tree. Paint them both white and then hot glue one on each side of the tree. These little blocks are so versatile and I always keep them in my craft stash!! Here’s another cute way to utilize them that would make a sweet Christmas gift!!

One last thing to do is add some of the “rust” to the base so it blends with the tree and then spray a top coat on the whole piece.

This piece makes me so happy…AND want to go ahead and decorate for Christmas!! It looks JUST LIKE an old tin ceiling tile!! What do you think??
