As much as I enjoy decorating for holidays, Halloween just isn’t one of my favorites. I do like to add a few things here and there, but I definitely don’t want to spend much!! This is where my addiction to clearance signs of all shapes and sizes comes in handy!! I can’t wait to give this little Goodwill sign a make-over!!

I think I paid about $1 for this little sign that actually came with another of the same size that I’ve already used. These little signs are just perfect for a tiered tray or shelf!!
Here’s what I’ll be using on the Goodwill sign make-over….
- Small clearance sign
- Dollar Tree stickers
- Wood numbers (31)
- Raffia
- White Chalk Paint
- Waverly chalk paint in Pumpkin
- Hot glue gun (this is the one I use)*
- Distress ink or black paint
The very first thing to do is add your stickers to the face of the sign. You could sand the face of the sign if needed, but the chalk paint covers FABULOUSLY!!!

These Dollar Tree stickers worked perfectly!! You can gently pull them loose and they are still attached to one another. This makes it super easy to lay them on top of the sign around all four edges. I just stuck them down once in place.

The next thing to do is just add a coat of the white Waverly chalk paint, beads and all!! I’ll also paint all four sides of the sign.

It looks pretty all ready!! Now we can paint, distress with ink, and add our number 31 that represents October 31st.

Finally, with a little hot glue the numbers are attached. I’ll add a raffia bow with a cute little Dollar Tree wood bat cutout for the finishing touch on this little Goodwill sign make-over!!

How cute!! You guys I will definitely be using these little Dollar Tree stickers again!! LOOK at all the detail!! I’m seriously LOVING this one!!! Let me know what you think!!!
