Leopard Print Decoupaged Pumpkin

Fall is so close friends!! So, in the spirit of the cooler weather outside, today’s DIY is a twist on the fall pumpkin! This little leopard print decoupaged pumpkin is not your typical pumpkin, it’s a little on the wild side!!

Here’s what I’ll be using:
  • faux pumpkin (mine was .98 cents from Walmart)
  • Leopard print napkin (mine are from Hobby Lobby)
  • Mod Podge
  • Moss
  • Hot glue gun/glue sticks
  • Glitter
  • Gold craft paint

Let’s get started! The first thing to do is cut off the edge of the napkin with writing on it, and then separate the napkin plies.

Next up, cut the napkin into strips. Mine are approximately one inch wide.

Now it’s time to add a thin layer of Mod Podge and then apply the napkin strips one at a time. After applying each strip use the paint brush to smooth down the edges before moving on.

Work your way around the pumpkin applying the napkin strips, slightly overlapping each strip. I’ll apply mine from the stem all the way to the bottom of the pumpkin. One napkin should be plenty to cover a small pumpkin like the one shown.

After the pumpkin is completely covered, be sure to smooth down any loose edges and then set aside to dry. As soon as the pumpkin is dry we can move on to painting the stem gold and adding glitter.

Finally, we’ll add a little moss to the top with some hot glue.
