Friend, if you love a good re-purpose project this little DIY is for you!! Fall is just around the corner and this little sign is perfect for your mantle, tiered tray, or shelf!! This dollar spot thankful sign is inexpensive to make, but your guests will never know!!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- small sign (I picked mine up a garage sale and it measures 5″ x 3 1/2″)
- small wood word cutout (Mine’s from Target Dollar Spot)
- One piece of scrapbook paper
- Craft glue/Mod Podge
- Hot glue/glue gun
- 2 small pieces greenery
- excelsior

My little sign has already been sanded down to a blank canvas (click here to see my tip on garage sale signs), so the first thing I’ll do is attach my piece of scrapbook paper with some Mod Podge.

My scrapbook paper piece is a little smaller, so the edges of the sign are visible. Once the paper is attached and dry, the wood word cutout can be added.

Use a little craft glue to attach the word…..

Next up, add a little more color with some simple greenery sprigs!

Just use a line of hot glue and press the greenery stem down…..

Finally, we’ll be adding some excelsior to the top. I just gather several strands together, bunch them in the middle, and attach with a small drop of hot glue.

Now you have a super cute little dollar spot thankful sign to add to your decor! The best part, it’s inexpensive to make, but no-one will ever know!! Cheers to fall decorating friends!!
