If you’re looking for a pretty summer decor idea be sure to stick around and see how I quickly transformed these Dollar Tree battery operated candles! This easy Dollar Tree napkin candle is perfect for adding just a touch of red, white, and blue without going overboard!

To begin, I’ll gather my Dollar Tree battery operated candles and a pretty hydrangea napkin from Marshall’s. Any napkin can be used but these hydrangea napkins were perfect since they were wide enough to wrap completely around the candles.

Now I’m ready to separate the ply from the napkin and I’ll only be using the top printed ply. Then I can wrap the napkin around the candle, overlapping the edges.

This napkin has a very pretty scalloped edge and I’m letting that show on the top of the candle as you can see in the picture below.

Next, I’ll use my iron to press the napkin onto the candle. The heat from the iron will melt the candle slightly, causing the napkin to adhere. This does not require much heat, so I recommend beginning with the iron on low.

Now I’ll remove excess napkin from the bottom of the candle with a sanding block to finish my easy Dollar Tree napkin candle.

Finally, I’ll add my candles to a pedestal to display for Memorial Day all the way through July. It’s a simple vignette but I love how it subtly adds some color to the space!
