Easy Dollar Tree American Flag DIY

Summer is coming and I’m all about red, white, and blue decor in my home. The piece we’re creating today is so EASY you can create it in a matter of minutes! Any picture frame can be used for this DIY but I’m using a Dollar Tree frame that I picked up for $1.25 to create this easy Dollar Tree American flag.

First up I’ll add some white paint to the picture frame after removing the glass insert. I’m using Waverly chalk paint in Plaster. I’ll also paint the picture insert as well.

Next, I’ll add some material pieces to create a flag by simply gluing the material onto the insert.

Finish this easy Dollar Tree American flag with some Behr wax to add an aged look. Distress the fabric strips for an even more dramatic finish.

If you LOVE quick and easy projects I think you’ll enjoy this one as much as I did!! It can be used in a vignette, on a simple stack of books, or just on a shelf. Let me know what you think!!
