I love patriotic decor that’s easy to put together and I can’t wait to show you this fun patriotic door hanger that combines an inexpensive Dollar Tree round wood hanger with a red, white, and blue twist!
First off, this Dollar Tree wood round can be covered with spray paint or acrylic and I’m choosing to add a coat of this Krylon satin Oxford Blue for a good, quick coverage.
Next, I’ll add some red trim around the edge. I’ll use a large bowl, trace around it with a pencil and then fill in with red paint.
Now I’ll add some varying sized white polka dots using my Dollar Tree stylus.
Adding Patriotic Flair
Finally, I’m ready to add some patriotic flair using these fun wood cut-outs that I’ll paint white.
Once the paint is completely dry I’ll add a bit of distress ink and then glue the wood cut-outs to the round hanger. I didn’t use all the words/shapes in this kit, but that just means I’ll be able to create another fun project!
Use your favorite ribbon to create a bow for the finishing touch on this patriotic door hanger!
