Tumbling Block American Flag DIY

Here’s another great way to use those versatile Dollar Tree tumbling blocks!! These little tumbling block American flags will be perfect for a tiered tray or even grouped together in a vignette. Today I’m giving you all the easy steps to creating your own tumbling block American flag!

First, glue three of the blocks together using E-6000 or some other permanent glue. Once the glue is dry we can move on to painting.

Next, we’ll need white, red, and blue paint. I’m using Waverly Snow White, True Red, and Navy Blue.

Now I’ll paint wonky red stripes and a blue squarish shape in the top left corner. I want these tumbling block American flags to look whimsical, not perfect.

Lastly, I’ll add a cardboard star, heavily sand all the edges and corners, and add distress ink (My favorite!) to the edges.
