Easy Dollar Tree Candy Corn Make-Over

Do you LOVE an EASY DIY?? It doesn’t get much easier than this Halloween make-over I’m sharing today!! Come see how easy this little easy Dollar Tree candy corn make-over really is!!! You’re going to want to head to Dollar Tree after!!

It starts with this piece I found at Dollar Tree and I LOVED the colors and even the glittered “trick or treat” on the front. But that bow needed to be replaced so that’s my focus!!

I’ll use my heat gun to heat up the glue under the existing bow in order to remove it and scrape off as much of the glue as possible. I’ll also remove the ribbon hanger on the back by removing the staples.

Now we just need to make a new bow to add on the top. I’m using my favorite Dollar Tree wired ribbon for the base, then orange with polka dot ribbon and black gingham check ribbon.

I have a some small bat wood cut-outs from Dollar Tree so I’m going to paint it black and glitter it in order to glue to the center of my bow.

Originally I had planned to add a jute hanger on the back, but I’ve now decided to put this on the top of my black tree I’m using for Halloween. I’ll just glue a skewer on the back to make it easy to insert into the top of the tree.
