It’s no secret that I LOVE a pretty napkin!! When I saw these fruit napkins at Dollar Tree I scooped up one of each after I fell in love with their bright, vibrant colors!! I had a wonderful idea for the watermelon wedge and decided the lemon napkin would make the perfect door hanger!!
First off, the napkin opens up into a FULL lemon slice! If you are lucky enough to snag a Dollar Tree pizza pan you have the foundation of this DIY for $2!!! I picked my pan up at Walmart for $1.48 which is still a good deal!!

It all started with a napkin….
The first we need to do is paint the pizza pan. I have found that chalk paint seems to adhere better, and it’s good to rough up the surface with a sanding block before painting if you have one.

I’ll drill two small holes in the top to add wire for hanging.

Once the paint is dry go ahead and add a layer of Mod Podge to the pizza pan surface and let it dry completely.

Once the Mod Podge is dry, unfold the napkin and lay it out on the pan. Separate the two plys and discard the white layer.

Lay a piece of parchment paper on top of the napkin and then use a small iron to iron it onto the pan. Fingers crossed the heat will re-activate the dried Mod Podge and prevent wrinkling.

Make sure to iron all the way to the edge so the napkin adheres well.

Add some details with black acrylic paint….

I’ll add a pretty bow for this Dollar Tree lemon napkin door hanger using some black striped ribbon from Hobby Lobby, and Dollar Tree burlap, thin black, and lemon ribbon.

Tie the center with some jute string and then continue wrapping until you get the look you like.

Add a wire hanger through the holes that were drilled earlier. I’ll coil the ends around a pencil and then add a drop of hot glue to keep the wire from sliding.

Next up attach the bow with hot glue.

Add a little “hello” word cutout and this Dollar Tree lemon napkin door hanger is all finished!!
