I’m not a big fan of all things scary for Halloween, but I do love a cute decor piece here and there! I’ve seen several mummy pieces for sale in the big box stores lately and decided I can make one, but on a budget! This little Dollar Tree glowing mummy vase will begin with a $1.75 small glass vase from DT!
First, let’s gather all the supplies.
- Dollar Tree Small Glass Vase
- Dollar Tree Battery Operated Candle
- Walmart Gauze (This can sometimes be found at Dollar Tree too.)
Now I’ll wrap the gauze around the glass vase and I’ve found the best way to do this is to add a small drop of glue to the glass and attach the end of the gauze. From here just continue wrapping the gauze, adding a drop of glue here and there to hold gauze in place.
Next it’s time to add some eyes. I’ll be using buttons painted black, but felt, material, or even paper can be used.
Finally, I’ll drop that little battery operated candle in and voila!! Turn the lights down or off to enjoy the festive glow! This Dollar Tree glowing mummy vase is a very easy DIY and can be created in a matter of minutes! I’d love to know if you try this one!
