I LOVE decor that I can easily add to an existing piece, so I thought creating an easy DIY snowman pick would be a GREAT way to easily add a touch of Christmas and winter to my home! I grabbed all of my supplies and I’m ready to put this simple and easy DIY together!

Here’s what I’ll be using to create these sweet little snowman picks!
- 1.9 Inch Styrofoam Balls from Dollar Tree
- Paper Straws
- Wooden Skewers or Toothpicks
- Black/Pink/Orange Paint
- Hobby Lobby Mini Hats
- Hot Glue
- Mod Podge & Glitter
- Material Strips or Ribbon
- Stamps (Optional)

First, I’ll insert the end of the straw into the bottom of the ball, then remove it and add a drop of hot glue before re-inserting the straw into the ball.

Next, I’ll add the snowman face using a Dollar Tree stylus for the eyes and mouth, and the end of the wooden skewer for the nose. I painted a skewer tip orange and added a drop of hot glue to the end before inserting it into the styrofoam. I’ll add some pink for the cheeks.

Now brush on Mod Podge and sprinkle on the glitter. Set aside and allow to dry.

Tie two strips of material together right under the snowman head. Add a drop of hot glue to secure to the straw.

Next, add a little glimmer to the mini hat using some Mod Podge and glitter.

Finally, he’s almost finished! Let’s stamp the word “snow” on his scarf and he’s done! Let’s find a place for this little guy!!

I love these little guys!! What a cute addition to any centerpiece!! Let me know what you think of this one!!
