I don’t know about you, but come February I’m dreaming of spring!! And….even though we have a couple more months of cold weather, I’m working on some spring decor so I’ll be ready when that first sign of warmer weather appears!! That brings me to the sweetest little farmhouse spring sign that will fit into any decor!!
This little sign is simple, but don’t be fooled, it packs the cutest punch!!
Let’s gather our supplies and get started…
The first thing to do is paint the wood beads. Some of these were painted pink so I just painted over them with white chalk paint. I kinda like the faint pink color popping through.
Next up I’ll take two pieces of craft wire, one 12″ long and one 9″ long approximately. Start to form a circle with each piece, one slightly smaller than the other.
We will be leaving the top open in order to string the beads, which is our next step.
Once the beads are on the wire it should look something like this.
I used wire snips to clip the excess wire and then twisted the ends. You can see in this pic I placed the wire ends in the center where they will be covered by the ribbon that I attach around the neck.
Let’s work on the ears…
I’m using a piece of greenery with brown wiring that will work perfectly for the ears. I’m just removing the leaves and then shaping the wire to look like ears.
Now it’s time to hot glue the wood bead rings and the ears to the face of the sign. It doesn’t take much glue so don’t overdo it. You don’t want to see globs of glue on the bunny.
I’ll be using a dry paint brush to add a small amount of white chalk paint to the sign just to break up the dark color, but this step is totally optional.
Our bunny is now glued on so it’s time to add a bow. I’m using black buffalo check ribbon, but any ribbon of your liking can be added!!
How stinkin’ easy was this?!? I’m in love with the simplicity of this little farmhouse spring sign friends!! Let me know what you think!!
