Neutral Christmas Tree

Can you believe it’s already November friends?!? This is my favorite time of year to decorate my home, and I’m so excited to share with you how I decked out this beautifully flocked and neutral Christmas tree in my living room!! Come on in friends!!

I bought this tree at Michael’s on sale last year and I love that it’s just the perfect size for my space, not too full, but not a slender tree like I use in other spaces of my home either.

I added a little height to my tree with a simple wood box turned upside down. These boxes are great to keep on hand to use in my decor because they are so darn versatile!!

What’s Going On The Tree

I want to keep this tree as neutral as possible so I’m starting the process with some black and white buffalo check ribbon that I picked up at Walmart.

I like to cut lengths of ribbon just a little longer than the tree is tall and starting from the top, tuck sections of the ribbon into the tree. On this tree I used four lengths of ribbon.

Next up I’m adding two sizes of snowflakes that I picked up at Hobby Lobby.

The point here is to just stagger the snowflakes on the front and sides of the tree. In all honesty friends I don’t put much, if anything on the backside because no-one sees it!!

I like to use large ornaments on my tree and I’m adding those next!

These smaller ornaments will go on next and I’ve picked them up at TJ Maxx and Home Goods over the years. They have a mercury glass look to them and are some of my favorites!

These next ornaments are new and I just couldn’t resist them because I fell in love with the color!! There are only four, but I think they’ll add just the right amount of color!

Finally, I’ve been collecting these deer from Hobby Lobby over the past few years and I still love the look they add so they’ll go on as well.

Now we’re ready for the top of the tree and I’m keeping it pretty simple by adding these beaded picks and iced orbs to the top of my neutral Christmas tree.

I LOVE how these pieces are working together!!

I added one last touch and it might be my very favorite!!

This little sign is made from a scrap piece of wood and some vinyl. It’s so simple but pulled everything together perfectly!! We don’t get much snow here in Oklahoma but a girl can hope can’t she?!?

One tree up and just a couple more to go!! I can’t wait to share more of my “decked halls” with you guys!!

See you soon friends!!
