Who loves a good clearance section?? So many times a good quality piece spotted in clearance can easily be transformed to a year round addition to your decor!! I picked this one up 50% off for $3.00 and this how to make-over is quick AND easy so don’t blink!!!

First up I’ll lightly sand the front of the sign and then untie the rope knots and remove.

Next up pick your favorite color of spray paint and give it a coat. Spray paint is so versatile! Don’t believe me? Take a look at this project!!

While the paint is drying I’ll use some True Red acrylic paint on this wood heart cut-out from Dollar Tree.

Once the heart is dry I’ll use some E6000 to attach it to the USA shape. The fun part is that you can place the heart on your state.

I’m using Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges to create an aged look on this little how to make-over.

Finally I’ll tape the ends of the rope I removed earlier, place back through the holes, and tie the ends.

All finished and ready to hang!! Your guest will never know this was a clearance piece!!

What do you think friend?? I think these simple make-overs are becoming some of my favorites!!
