That time of year is coming where our calendars are FULL of Christmas parties, holiday get togethers, and an endless list of responsibilities! So much to do, but so little time! If you’re like me you forget last minute gifts, such as hostess gifts. These are so nice to share with friends and family that invite you into their home for the holidays. The good news is that we can plan ahead and make something cute like this easy Dollar General Christmas hostess gift. Even better, it doesn’t have to break the bank!! First, I’ve chosen a mini oven mitt, a dishtowel, and small silicone tongs with a gingerbread man theme. Dollar General has several options, like snowmen and gnomes. They were all just so sweet!! All three of these items were $1.00 each.
Next, the assembly is pretty straightforward, I’ll roll the dishtowel up and tuck it and the tongs down into the mitt.
I wanted to add one more item, but couldn’t find what I wanted. You could add another set of tongs or even a candy cane to make it more festive.
Let’s tie it all up!
Last but not least, I’ll tie some pretty red and white baker’s twine around the oven mitt and add a small gingerbread ornament that the recipient can keep. I often find baker’s twine at Dollar Tree so be sure to keep your eye out since it comes in so handy for holiday packaging!
