If you’ve ever wanted to create one of the popular book stacks for your home decor here’s your chance and it’s EASY with a little help from Dollar General!! I spotted this book stack for $5.00 at Dollar General, and knowing that with a little paint and vinyl it would be perfect for fall I snatched it up! Come see how to create your own Dollar General fall book stack easy make-over!

This book stack is plain, but for $5 it’s perfect for a fall make-over!!

First of all I’ll remove the jute string and set that aside. Then I’ll sand off the words so I can paint. This part is easier than it sounds since the words sanded off quickly and easily.

Now it’s time for paint!! I’m using Anita’s Pumpkin, Anita’s Tangerine, and Apple Barrel Laguna.

Before painting, the words can be sanded off with a sanding block or file like I’m using.

Now paint each “book” with the desired color, allow to dry, then add words. I’m using vinyl with the “A Day Without Sun” font that I cut using my Cricut, but you could also stamp on these, use rub-on transfers, or even stickers.

Finally, I’ll tie them together with ribbon and then add a bow! Aren’t these colors so pretty together?

These book stacks are so versatile and just so fun to create for holidays and seasons! I hope you enjoyed and let me know if you give this Dollar General Fall Book Stack Easy Make-Over a try!!
