Have you spotted the pretty wood bead wreaths at Dollar Tree? They are quite a find for $1.25 with so many options to decorate!! Today I’ll be using one to create a simple and pretty wreath for spring and I’ll give you all the details in this neutral Dollar Tree wood bead wreath tutorial!
Supplies needed…
Here’s what we’ll be using for this wreath.
- Dollar Tree wood bead wreath
- Dollar Tree wood hanging decor piece
- Stain
- Greenery
- Chipboard letters
- Ribbon
- Ivory Waverly Paint
- Tacky Glue
First of all I’m wanting to attach the wood piece to the back of the wreath and it’s just a little long, so I’ll need to cut about 1 3/4 inches off of it. Once this is done I can stain the wood and then hot glue it to the back of the beaded wreath.
I’ll be turning the wreath so that the wood piece is glued behind the metal clasp because I know the clasp will be hidden behind the greenery I’ll be adding.
Adding the greenery…
Next up let’s add some pretty greenery. I picked mine up at Kirklands, but any pretty greenery will do. I’ll be gluing a few stems on first to work as the base, and as I continue to add greenery I’ll just use individual pieces to glue in the spots that are bare.
I LOVE the look so far, the green popping against the stain and neutral beads. It needs a word of some sort and I have chipboard letters on hand. I’m choosing the word “hi” but any word could be added here. Dollar Tree often has the metal “welcome” that would be perfect for this project.
